FIRST XV MAGAZINE & RUGBY MAGAZINE

First XV magazine was launched by Future Publishing in 1995 and was the first publication to celebrate rugby union becoming a professional sport. It took the game into a new area of media coverage including studio photoshoots of the players more akin to an issue of GQ. The magazine re-launched as Rugby Magazine and revamped itself in the style of Loaded as that had become the latest style craze at the time and what the rugby audience desired.
